The 24th Annual Olivian Gala and Auction

Unlike “The Game of Life,” real life doesn’t have a set of rules, and there are moments that send you “back three spaces” when you thought you were on track to win. And yet, there are also times in life when a brave move forward changes everything. Whether it’s a family reaching out for support after loss, a parent becoming empowered to answer their children’s questions honestly, or a child courageously stepping foot through our door seeking healing, Olivia’s House: A Grief and Loss Center for Children is here to meet the needs of our bereaved community.

When children walk through our doors for a Game Night, they think they’re here just to play. Yet, beneath the fun, something remarkable happens: through therapeutic games, they rebuild trust, master communication, and reconnect with the joy they feared was lost. Whether it’s strategizing through a challenge or sharing stories between turns, families discover that the best part of the game isn’t winning. . . it’s not having to play alone. From the compassionate guidance of our staff and volunteers to the comforting connection of peers who “get it,” each roll of the dice brings these brave families one step closer to healing.

Just as every meaningful game brings people together, we invite you to join us for an evening that celebrates connection, compassion, and hope. The 24th Annual Olivian Gala will take place on Saturday, September 26, at the Country Club of York. This formal affair will feature a decadent dinner, open bar, live music, exceptional auction items, and an opportunity to stand alongside a community committed to helping grieving children and families take their next steps forward.
