My Fish is Floating

Pet loss is often the first experience a child has to understand the reality of death. Grieving a pet is no less important because the family member is "just a pet." This workshop addresses the correct way to explain euthanasia to children. We discuss the values surrounding rituals and the relationship they have in preparing children to cope with death for the remainder of their lifetimes.

At Olivia's House: A Grief and Loss Center for Children, we employ a Bereavement Specialist who holds over 25 years of experience in the field of grief and loss. As one of the premier centers in the nation, we are proud to provide professional trainings surrounding the most cutting edge topics of current education and research. We travel nationally for trainings or you can also learn on-site at Olivia's House.

In this section, you will find a list of frequently requested topics for professional trainings. Often, topics are combined based on the needs of the organization. All trainings are customized for the particular needs of the audience.
