Companion Volunteers

What is a Companion? A Companion is a volunteer who has completed the Olivia's House twelve-hour training in order to work directly with children in our educational peer support programs. All volunteer Companions are assigned to a specific age group of children and work with that group through the entire program. Companions must complete a reference check, a criminal background check and a child abuse clearance from the state where they reside.

In addition to the training, the background checks and the reference check, a Companion must make a two-year commitment to work in our programs and must pay a $100.00 fee for training.

Please contact our Development Director at 717-699-1133 to arrange an interview.
